Greatwide Logistics Services Signs Contract With Wal-Mart

Greatwide Logistics Services – a Dallas-based provider of non-asset-based transportation, 3PL, warehouse/distribution and truckload brokerage services – has signed a five-year contract with Wal-Mart to provide the retailer with additional grocery transport services from a new distribution center located in McCarran, Nevada.  When it opens in August 2006, the distribution center will be the 13th facility operated by Clarksville Refrigerated Lines, a Greatwide subsidiary carrier dedicated solely to serving Wal-Mart stores. By November, the facility will have 25 operations personnel and 180 owner operators, bringing the total number of Greatwide trucks serving Wal-Mart stores to more than 2,000.
