WHO IS THE MANAGEMENT TEAM OF GREATWIDE LOGISTICS SERVICES AND WHAT IS THEIR BACKGROUND?
Ray Greer, CEO
In 1997, Mr. Greer was named one of Forbes Magazine's "Rising Stars of
Our Time." In 2002, VARBusiness magazine named him one of the nation's
Top 100 CEOs. Prior to joining Greatwide Logistics Services, Mr. Greer
served as CEO of Newgistics. In this capacity he was responsible for
the design, development and deployment of new business models, while
simultaneously managing strategic business partnerships. Mr. Greer had
previously served as President of i2 Technologies, a medical, surgical
and pharmaceutical supply procurement company. He also served as
President, COO and CIO for Ryder Integrated Logistics, a wholly owned
subsidiary of Ryder Systems, Inc. During his six-year tenure at Ryder,
the company grew from $400 million in annual revenue to more than $2
billion.
Richard Metzler, Chief Commercial Officer
In 2005, Mr. Metzler was named Marketer of the Year by both B2B
Magazine and the Transportation Marketing and Communications
Association. He joined Greatwide Logistics Services with more than 25
years transportation and logistics experience with such companies as
Federal Express Corporation, APL Logistics, GE Capital/TIP and DHL. He
was previously Executive Vice President of Marketing for DHL, where he
re-launched that company’s branding for the United States. He also
oversaw all DHL marketing activities throughout The Americas, including
advertising, customer acquisition and retention, pricing and market
research. He was also responsible for DHL Canada, DHL Logistics and DHL
Same Day Services.
